It's official - we have lost our minds! Ad Eagle Suite version 2.53 is now available for download free! Yes, that is right - Ad Eagle is now free software. There is one catch however: Every fifth time the program is called, one of our ads will be shown. Also, we cannot offer support for our free products, so if you cannot find your answers in the users guide, discussion forums, installation instructions, and FAQ's, you may consider purchasing a support license. Support licences give you unlimited phone-in and email support, as well as installation and installation of each new version as it is released.

Version 2.53 has been released. Because of client requests, we have added a "Staff" login feature. This allows your sales staff to log into the client login area, using a special username and password. They are then presented with a list of clients and they can select which one they want to log in as to view their current stats.

Version 2.52 is released.

This version is a bug fix release dealing with improper handling of HTML ads when they expire, and are the last ad in the system for the client. This only affected version 2.50 and only happened when the expired HTML ads was the last one to expire for that client.

Also fixes a problem with client removals, where on some servers when a client was removed from the system, other clients disappeared from the list. Their ads still ran, and only the client list was affected. We could not recreate this issue on our servers, so it was likely not a widespread issue.

We are planning a major upgrade over the next few weeks, much of which will improve the multiple client login features.

Everyone likes free services, so we are going to launch a new one. Using a variant of Ad Eagle Suite we are going to offer a free ad hosting / serving service. Initially we will be accepting only a few websites as we test this new system, but hope to grow it over time to become a unique ad serving solution that will include a banner exchange option. You will be able to manage your own ads, and set up your own banner exchange, all served from our servers, and all managed from one administration area! The exact date for the launch has not yet been decided, but if you are interested, or would like more information, contact us.

Run your own Banner Exchange with our new Banner Exchange plug-in! You can now run an exchange from Ad Eagle Suite while still managing your own advertising inventory, all from the same system. The exchange has been kept simple, in order to make it as easy and painless to use as possible. You can choose, when adding a new client to the system, if you want them added as a standard advertiser or an exchange member. If you set them in the exchange, they will be able to copy the code they need from within the clients login area, as well as view their credits, impressions, click thrus, etc. You can set them to use credits, in which case they will be suspended automatically if their credits go to zero, which will happen if they do not show exchange ads on their website.

We are developing the full documentation for this new feature, so watch the Users Guide for more when it is available.

We are currently looking for websites to run our banner exchange code in order to test the system under normal usage. This is a beta banner exchange that may be developed further if we get enough sites involved. So give it a shot! The worst that can happen is that your banner gets shown on a few sites for a while! Coming in April!

The next release of Ad Eagle Suite will offer a banner exchange plugin. This will allow you to run a full banner exchange without additional software, and still manage your regular advertising management - all from the same system! The expected release for the new version is April 30th. You can chose whether or not you want to use a credit system for each exchange member! You set the ratio for each member, so if you set them at 3:1, they will earn one credit (banner impression) after showing three ads on their pages. You chose which rotations you want to use in the exchange, and they can generate the code to add to their pages within the client login area. Ad Eagle Suite now has Timed Refresh!

In Version 2.35 we have introduced auto timed refresh! Now ads can change on your page at whatever interval you wish. The new code generator allows to you set the interval in seconds, and the size of your ad. You will want to use the same sized ads in rotations using timed refresh, but that is always a good idea anyway. It makes for easier management.

February 25, 2004: Version 2.0 Released!

This new release supports multiple Administrator logins! This option can allow you to delegate advertising areas to different individuals, or, if you are in the hosting business, enables you to offer advertising management software to your hosting clients - al managed from one central installation!

Code generator. Finally - from the admin area you can now generate the code for any rotation. Just paste it into your pages.
